Remember the days when we had to write directions on a piece of paper to get to your destination? Remember the times when we still use pagers? Even the way we do texting has evolved that instead of typing letter C, we have to hit one key 3 times.

Technology is the main distraction that even driving off to work, we are encouraged to lose focus on the way. We pass by numerous billboards within a small radius of distance that cause us to lose track while driving. When the billboard offers something that interests you, it will stay in your mind of a long time. Some examples are $500 million lotto or Saturday night gigs.

No matter what you do, distractions are always present. It is just a matter of how you recognize distractions and immediate continue with what you are doing. Do one thing at a time. If you are a talented individual, maybe you can manage opening 4 screens in one computer, your phone next to you. But most of the time, you can manage your work by opening one tab at a time, set your phone aside, and let the people around you know that you need to be alone for around 15 minutes. Have someone else to deal with your kids or give something to them that will keep them occupied while you do your work. Do one thing, finish it, or finish it in increments and then have a break.

When the mind leaves a situation, you will follow even if you are still in that room technically.
