Our beliefs form from a very early age, and can affect how we see ourselves and our place in society; you will have beliefs around how much money you will earn, beliefs about how you are as a parent, child, sibling or partner, beliefs about where you live and so on. Many of these beliefs will be subconscious- you won’t even know that they are there. If your intention contradicts this subconscious belief, then your subconscious mind will be sending out vibrations which will push it away and you will never attract it.
No matter what our beliefs are, we will always find evidence to support them- because we will attract it! If you believe that you are meant to be big, for example, you will remain overweight despite all attempts to diet, which reinforces this belief. If you believe that you are not smart enough to run your own business, all your attempts to start a business will fail, until eventually you say See? I told you I am not smart enough to run a business’.
Many people buy self help book after self help book, convinced that the next one will be the one which changes their life. However, whilst they are carrying limiting beliefs, nothing will change. They may get all fired up and make a good start, even seeing some improvement, but within a few weeks they will fall back into their old habits. In order to make the law of attraction work for you, it will be necessary to identify any negative beliefs and eradicate them.
